Room Hire 

St Mark’s is a real community centre with many interesting architectural features and a good range of facilities.  We offer rooms for hire so that as many people as possible from the community can make use of the building and we already provide a regular venue for numerous groups.  The main body of the church has excellent acoustics and is a regular concert venue as well as offering an interesting conference or theatrical venue.

If you are looking for space, you can either hire a room as a one-off, for example for a birthday party or a meeting, or on a regular basis.

Our facilities are all suitable for disabled access.

About St Mark’s

• Spacious and modern, it was designed by George Pace in the 1960s, with nationally renowned stained glass windows
• Next to The Royal Hallamshire Hospital and close to the University of Sheffield
• Only a short walk from the bus stops on Glossop Road and the bustling heart of Broomhill
• There are 16 car park spaces available for evening and weekend bookings
• Wifi and heating throughout
• St Mark’s is affiliated to Inclusive Church and the Progressive Church Network and we are committed to fostering a spirit of openness, generosity and inclusivity. Booking from underrepresented groups including the LGBTQIA+ community are welcomed here.

Main Worship Area 

• Wall projector and large drop-down screen
• An integrated PA system with 6 radio and 3 wired microphones
• Organ and piano
• Seating for 300 people, with 100 additional chairs for orchestra/choir
• Front 2 rows of pews can be moved to make more room

Ground-Floor Lounge

• PA system with 2 radio mics and a CD player. A digital projector is available on request
• Piano
• Professional-standard catering kitchen, with a dishwasher, and cutlery, cups and plates
• Seating for 35, with fold-out tables available

Upper Room

• 2 radio mics, DVD player and projector
• Digital and upright pianos
• Seating for 40, with fixed and fold out tables available
• Compact, but well-appointed kitchen with cups and cutlery available
