In September 2012 the community of St Mark’s will be sharing time Nurturing Community, spending time together in work, rest and play.
What’s this all about?
Our parish weekend away will be a chance for everyone in the St. Mark’s community to escape from the rigours of life and relax together in beautiful surroundings. We’ll have opportunities to share in worship and dancing, discussion and merriment, craft and music. We’ll be Nurturing Community, deepening existing relationships and forging new ones. We’ll be thinking, laughing, eating, drinking and growing together.
When’s it happening?
Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd September 2012.
Where are we going?
We’ve booked space at the Hayes Conference centre in Swanwick (http://www.cct.org.uk/the-hayes/introduction). Set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, the Hayes is accessible and has gained several new facilities in the last few years. It’s easy to get to – more details of travel accommodation are available here.
How much will it cost me?
The cost of an en suite room for the weekend at the Hayes (per person, including all meals) is around £125, but full details are here. If you can pay for your room and meals, then that’s great. But you being a part of the weekend is far more important than your money, and if you are able to come, but don’t feel you can pay that amount then please do talk to Ian or Sue in confidence – there is money available to further subsidise places.
Who can I find out more from?
The weekend is being planned by Ian, Sue, Shan, Jelly, Anne and Jane Padget, Tanya Ralph and Alistair Sutcliffe. All are happy to chat about any aspect of the weekend.
