Soup Run is a service that we provide to homeless people in the area as part of a wider service offered throughout the week by several churches. We provide soup, sandwiches and clothes every Saturday evening. We meet in St Mark’s at 5:30pm to prepare the food then we go to Eldon St Car Park (just off West Street in Sheffield city centre) at 6:30pm and stay for an hour serving food and talking to those who come. After washing up, we are usually finished by 8.00pm.
There are four teams – one to do each week in the month – then the rota starts over. We are always looking for extra volunteers, so if you are interested or have any questions, please contact Jonathan Earle at earlejonathan@rocketmail.com.
