Broomhall Breakfast

Every Friday morning between 8.00 and 10.00am breakfast is served by volunteers from St Mark’s, St Andrew’s and other churches. Run under the auspices of a church partnership, Churches Together in Broomhill and Broomhall, it is held in the hall of St Andrew’s United Reformed Church on Upper Hanover Street.

The breakfasters can be homeless, people on their way to work, or simply those who are hungry. A full cooked meal is offered, as well as cereal and toast, tea or coffee. Numbers vary between 26 and 46, but the atmosphere is animated and friendly however many people are there. And of course more helpers are always needed to cook, serve or simply to chat with the diners.
