Hiring spaces

A large group meets in the upper roomSt Mark’s is a real community centre with many interesting architectural features and a good range of facilities.  We offer rooms for hire so that as many people as possible from the community can make use of the building and we already provide a regular venue for numerous groups.  The main body of the church has excellent acoustics and is a regular concert venue as well as offering an interesting conference or theatrical venue.

If you are looking for space, you can either hire a room as a one-off, for example for a birthday party or a meeting, or on a regular basis.

Our facilities are all suitable for disabled access.

Facilities and Costs

Lounge and full kitchen facilities  Accommodating: 40 people (approx.)
Cost: £40 per session for a one off
£25 per session for a regular booking
Upstairs room (can be partitioned) and small kitchenNote: a lift is available for disabled access


Accommodating: 80 people (approx.)
Cost: £40 per session for a one off
£25 per session for a regular booking
Main church auditorium including lounge and kitchen facilities  Accommodating: 260 people (approx.) in the audience plus speakers/performers
Cost: Dependent on day and requirements.
Organ and piano  Hire of organ: £50   per performance
Hire of piano: £20 per performance

A session is morning, afternoon or evening.

Every concert or performance has two caretakers assigned to it, so that you are looked after throughout the occasion.
