We welcome inquiries from couples whose relationship has reached a stage where they are ready to enter into a life-long commitment with one another.
A Marriage in church is both similar and dissimilar to a ceremony at a Register Office or in another licensed premises. From the legal point of view, it performs the same function; but a church wedding has a religious or spiritual dimension as well. Put simply, it is when a couple’s love for one another is linked with God’s love for them.
You can be married at St Mark’s if you worship at the church, reside in the parish or can demonstrate another link recognised in law (see http://www.yourchurchwedding.org/youre-welcome/more-churches-to-choose-from.aspx).
You do not need to be baptised or to practice the Christian faith. It is frequently possible for couples where one or both partners have been divorced to marry at St Mark’s. Approaches are also welcomed from foreign nationals.
To find out how much it would cost to marry at St Mark’s, please see the following Table of Fees (2012).
If you would like more information or to arrange a Marriage, please contact the church office or a member of the ministry team.
