Baptism, also known as Christening, is the rite of entry into the Christian community. Through Baptism, we become followers of Jesus in the life of faith as we seek to pattern our lives on his and commit ourselves to furthering his vision for a world transformed by justice, love and wisdom.
You can be baptised at any age, although infants and young children are baptised on the understanding that their families will bring them up in the Christian Way, including belonging to a church community where they can learn about Jesus and what it means to follow him.
Baptisms normally take place in a Sunday service after preparation and a rehearsal. It is a joyous occasion to be shared with family and friends.
If you would like more information or to arrange a Baptism, please contact the church office or a member of the ministry team.
