Our responsibility is to monitor, manage (where appropriate), and report to the PCC on the following areas: the maintenance and improvement of church buildings and equipment; health and safety issues; and church finances, in association with the Treasurer.
We cover a wide range of topics; recent examples from the agenda include under-floor heating, fire safety awareness, roof leaks and financing of solar panels. We work with the church architect where required, particularly over the church’s quinquennial inspection report.
The committee meets about five times a year.
