Home Donations Committee

The Home Donations Committee meets twice in the year to discuss and to recommend to the PCC the various donations which St Marks will make to (mostly) local charities in the course of the year. Ten percent of the given income of the church is given away to home and international causes.

2007 Home Donations

pICTURE OF fyaIn 2007 St Marks gave £5187 to different organisations in Sheffield and beyond. The principal beneficiaries were : the Childrens Society, the Family Welfare Association (picture) Industrial Mission in South Yorkshire, ASSIST helping Asylum seekers in Sheffield, Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care, Norman House caring for ex prisoners, the Church Urban Fund and Church Action on Poverty.
Other beneficiaries included Sheffield City of Sanctuary, Bens Centre, MND, the St Marks Soup Run.
